Since 2003, Ala Costa Centers in Oakland have been providing services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities in the Oakland and surrounding areas. Currently, there are over 50 students between the ages of 5 - 22 that attend the Oakland site. There are 3 clasrooms that provide age appropriate activities both in the center and in the community. The Phase 1 classroom focus on children ages 5 - 12. The Phase 2 classroom caters to students ages 12 - 17. The Phase 3 classroom focuses on adults, ages 18 - 22.
Throughout the year, the Oakland program provides afterschool services from 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. During the holidays and summer vacation times when school is out, Ala Costa will try to best match the school districts' schooll schedules and be open from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.
